“Those cunning folk use any means to achieve their ends.”
About the House
Slytherin is one of the four houses of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and
Wizardry, founded by Salazar Slytherin. Its students are chosen for their
ambition, cunning, resourcefulness and determination — the qualities
that turn talent into achievement and plans into power.
The common room lies beneath the Black Lake, deep in the dungeons; green
light ripples across the walls through the water, and the giant squid has
been sighted drifting past the windows.
“Or perhaps in Slytherin
You’ll make your real friends;
Those cunning folk use any means
To achieve their ends.”
— The Sorting Hat
